7.62 x 39 mm

The 7.62 x 39 mm round was designed during World War II.  It is of Soviet origin.  Both military and civilians use this cartridge.    This remained the Soviet standard until the 1970’s.  It functions well in temperatures ranging from -58  to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
